      Loss of Protective Sensation Test for the Foot                                                        

              Self-Administered (In-Home Sensory Assessment Test)                          

              Loss of Protective Sensation Testing in the foot is an important test for individuals with diabetes

              and/or any other condition that can affect the ability of the individual to recognize sensation in

              the top and/or bottom of the foot. The test is designed to allow clinically recommended site

              testing on the top and bottom of each foot.  Each site is numbered for clinical interpretation

              and/or mapping of progression of loss of sensation.

 

Two types of kits available:

 •  In-Home Evaluation Kit: (to be provided to Physician for interpretation

   and/or discussion after evaluation).

   Kit Includes:

       •  Instructions for Use (Easy to use).

       •  Test Site Diagram (24 sites- 12 Left and 12 Right Foot spots)

          Form includes Patient Name and Date of evaluation.

       •  5.07/10gm Level Monofilament Testing Device attached to an easy to use

          paperboard card.

       •  Storage case to store the monofilament between use.
